Calabria region has the highest percentage of organic in Italy

Calabria, with 36.3% of its agricultural surface dedicated to organic production, is the Italian region with the largest organic agricultural surface. This is not just a statistic, but an important result that reflects greater attention to the care of the earth and the health of consumers.

The choice of over 8000 Calabrian farmers to follow the path of organic farming is a commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. This approach respects biodiversity, promotes responsible use of natural resources and guarantees the traceability and quality of agri-food products.

The presence of a large organic agricultural area in Calabria brings benefits not only to consumers, but also to farms in the region. Organic farms located in regions where chemical substances are unfortunately used are more at risk of having their agricultural products contaminated by the substances used nearby. However, in Calabria, thanks to the vast presence of organic crops, this risk is significantly reduced.

In conclusion, Calabria is a shining example of how organic agriculture can be a winning model for consumer health, environmental protection and the success of agricultural companies. As a historic, organic farm in Calabria, we are proud to be part of this growing community and contribute to the agricultural tradition of our beloved Calabria region.

Special thanks to Confagricoltura Cosenza, AS.PR.OL. Cosenza Soc. Coop. and to the Cosenza Chamber of Commerce who support us in our organic production, to Ecogruppo Italia to be the guarantor of organic certification, to CREA for collecting and processing the Data and obviously to all the farmers of the Calabria region as well as to the attentive consumers who choose to eat healthy and organic.
