We are proud to announce that our olive oil has been certified as IGP Olio di Calabria. This brand represents not only a recognition of our commitment to quality and sustainability, but also an indissoluble bond with the Calabrian territory and tradition.
But what exactly does IGP Oil from Calabria mean? The IGP Olio di Calabria is a brand that is attributed to those olive oils that respect rigorous production and quality criteria. This brand guarantees that the olive oil produced is of alta qualità, tracciabile, legato al territorio d’origine and produced without the use of chemical products harmful to humans and the environment.
To be certified as Extra Virgin Olive Oil IGP Olio di Calabria, it must be:
- – 90% from native olive varieties (in our case 100% of our centuries-old olive trees);
- produced in the Calabrian territory;
- – with a maximum acidity level of 0.5%;
- – with a total polyphenol level greater than or equal to 200 ppm456;
- – with a color ranging from green to straw yellow with chromatic variation over time due to chlorophyll;
- – the smell is fruity of green olive with floral notes, artichoke, leaf, tomato and freshly mowed grass.
These characteristics ensure not only the distinctive taste and aroma of our oil, but also its health benefits.
So, when you see the IGP Olio di Calabria brand on our extra virgin olive oil, you will know that you are choosing a product that is not only good for health and tasty, linked to the Calabrian territory but also produced with respect for nature and future generations.
We thank you for choosing us and hope that you will continue to enjoy our Olio di Calabria IGP olive oil.
